I just got back from a walking holiday in Turkey. This panorama was taken while on a walk in the Rose Valley near Goreme. You can see the path I was walking on in the far left and right of the photo.

Technical details.
Handheld series of 10 photos, with about 1/3 overlap.
Portrait orientation.
16-85mm Nikkor lens set to 19mm.
Shutter speed, aperture and ISO were all locked, 1/500, f/11, ISO 200.
Resulting image is 51.6 megapixels, 12399*4158 pixels.

It is really easy to make panoramas like this, it took only a couple of minutes to stop and take, and a few minutes processing to create the single image.

I hope you like it - you need to click on the link and then use the navigation buttons or the mouse wheel to zoom and the left mouse button to drag.

Photoshop's Photomerge to assemble the images automatically. Then a crop and tidy up.

Then to make the web version, Zoomify. It comes included with Photoshop. I think it is also available as a separate product.
