1929 D-25 New Standard over the Hudson River. 60' wingspan, built to carry passengers on sightseeing trips. Only about 6 left, this is one of the flyable ones.

  2. You have had a rare experience to photograph these old open cockpit planes, must have been fun? Why are you posting the images so small. Most of us use 800 x 600 pixels. Some go to 900 x 600.

I had the chance over several years to photograph the aircraft of the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome in NY. The late founder, Cole Palen, was very generous in allowing almost unlimited access to the grounds and flight opportunites. It is a time I will always remember. I will never forget Cole.
As for the size, it's right from my P-Base site. I still have dial-up and like to be considerate to those like me! I also sell prints and don't want to post shots that can be downloaded and printed in a decent quality.
