As I walked down to the lake to check the boat I had this feeling I was being watched , when something caught my eye . There were two little black eyes looking back at me so I ran back up to the house grabbed the D80 Fast walk back down (not as young or in shape ) . First flying Squirrel I had seen since I was a kid . Took free hand at dusk using a 28-70 that Dave Watts was kind enough to let me borrow. [IMG] [IMG]

Now there's something you don't see every day! I didn't even realize we had these in the US.

What a beautiful, tender and soulful-looking animal. Makes me wish I could cuddle it and feed it and keep it safe for the rest of its life.

Yes it is . When I looked up on the Web to make sure of what he was they also showed a Squirrel nesting box that looked like a bird house with the hole on the side . But please don't tell him !

  14. I have a lot of gray, black, fox squirrels. Used to have red squirrels. Never have seen a flying squirrel, particularly one living in the bird house! Neat shots.
