New to me D600

Decided to get back into the FF game and picked up a D600 with only 22k actuations. The shutter had been replaced by Nikon so should have none of the issues that originally plagued the shutter when this body was released.
Also picked up a 24-120F4 VR to go with it, so I think I am all set. Still had two after market batteries from my D750 that I can use as well, although I doubt I will need them, the D600 is so good with battery life.

I got the D600 body used for $575 CAN
I got the lens user for $600 CAN

I think I did pretty well.

I cosidered getting a D750 again or perhaps even a D800 but D750's are twice what I paid and even though it has more focus points and better AF, the D600 will do just fine. Also I don't need more MP than 24 and I don't want a heavier camera either. I am well aware of the D600's shortcomings and I am totally OK with them.

Coming from a Fujifilm X100T, in Aug 2020 I weighed the decision between a D610 and D750 and opted for the D750. After 8 months it has been one of my best camera decisions. It's a lot of camera for the money.

The D600 and D750 have virtually the same sensor in terms of IQ. I really liked my D600, despite its known issues and the 24-120 f4 is probably one of the best ones Nikon made in that range. You should have a lot of fun. Post some images when you start feeling comfortable with the set-up!

Thanks, yes they are virtually the same camera with the D750 having some minor improvements, mostly in it's AF.

I'll definitely post some when I can.
