New use for a wide angle lense

  1. I often wondered how people got great air shots of seagulls...or any bird for that matter. I had my D200 and Tokina 12-24mm lense at the time I snapped this shot. I was on a ferry and happened to look up, gulls everywhere! I started snapping pics, this is one of the better ones.

Not really, but it does show how to think outside the box.

  4. Thanks! I wanted to do some landscapes on the beaches so I had the wide angle on the camera. They were so close I really didn't need anything more. now, bring on the Osprey and Eagles in the same fashion :)

  5. This works very well - if you can get close enough to the bird

Watch out for the white stuff! No time to dodge at close range!
