  1. Heres an idea for a cdr cover for a local band called NEW.
Saw it on an early morning dog walk and shot the compass rose with 50 1.8.
    Then cloned the letters.
So the right side will be the cover and the blank left side will be for copy, like words, info etc. They`re accousticy electric serious romantic folk rocky written beautiful voice type musicians. (with day jobs in the butcher shop)

I may reshoot this at sunrise with warmer light with the tide in.
    Band shots to follow.
Who says Auckland City is difficult to navigate?

  3. THX! Gale,
    Its easy to get lost.
The idea is to give the lads direction.
They got the music now the need a brand or logo.
This will get the wheels turning.

    Bronson, Ryan, Caleb and Paul.
Shot them individually in the garage with a 1500 elinchrome with 70cm softbox @90 side lite f22 and assembled in CS2. Micro Nikkor on Fuji S2Pro.
The boys in the band havent seen this so things could change.
    Kinda "Doors".
  5. Mmm, I think I will re arrange the order and tweak the angle a touch ccw on Ryan for more vertical in the black bg shots.
Heres the group shot using Sunpak 622pro with open flash on a boom.

The logo idea is evolving to a more simplified look.
  6. Cool!

I have friend who obviously uses a compass like this - turn him twice and he has no idea where he is .
