I agree with Greg you've got some nice images here, I love the lighting effects that illuminate the falls.

surrounding village

One thing puzzles me however... is this really what you Americans regard as a 'village'? Looks awful big and bright by UK standards!

Robert, I think most of these were shot on the Canadian side of the falls.

Including the "Village".

First off let me say that these pictures are just awesome. Brings back fond memories from my college days. The American Falls lit up by colored floods from the Canadian side is one of my most favorite sights at Niagara. When I lived in Upstate NewYork back in the '80s we used to get several visitors whom we took to show them the Niagara Falls and I made sure we did not leave until the lights spectacle was over. It sure is a sight to behold.

Thank you for your comments.

Yes the village is on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls; the falls views are also shot from the Canadian side.

I used a Nikon D80 with the 18-135-kit lens.

The night shots of the falls were taken by putting the camera on one of the concrete fence supports putting the camera on a time exposure of 10 seconds and using a napkin to elevate the lens.

The village shots are all hand held using aperture priority F8

Those are really great shots! That is some of the best shots I've seen of that area.

Very nice shots..

The fall shots are excellent. The Canadian side it very touristy.

I won $35.00 in one slot machine at that casino! .. then got the heck out so I didn't loose it.
