I have been using this lens since my film days. It is a very nice lens with film. It was THE lens used by reporters during the F4-F5 days in Hong Kong!

On the D300 it is very good for people, building etc. I am a bit bothered by its CA when using it for landscape. That's why I bought the 17-35, which is quite better controlling CA.

I am sure you'll enjoy this lens. The price seems reasonable too. - I guess it is difficult to find one of these in excellent condition.

    Thanks!

Until I decide which system to stay with (that will take a couple of months )....then I will sell all of the Canon gear & the less IQ Nikon lenses....& buy the better glass...

I guess by then you'll want the 14-24/2.8!
