Does anybody have an experience with Tokina Fish-Eye 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 AT-X 107 DX ? How does it compares to Nikon 10.5 fish?

  2. I'd just get the 10.5 fisheye. That lens is fun and the 2.8 makes it a nice low-light lens.

First I had the 10.5mm nikkor, then I bought the Tokina 10-17mm fisheye zoom, and although the nikkor was a little tad better in optics than the Tokina, I ended up keeping the tokina, mainly for versatility and fun. Either way, both are fantastic.

Which of them is better in low light situation? Is it a big difference?

  5. I have neither, but it would make logical sense that the 10.5 would be better in low light as it has a 2.8 aperture.

Can somebody post a pictures from Tokina Fish-Eye 10-17mm ? What about their new waterproof coating? Is it any good? Which lens has better build from practical, everyday use point of view? I'm worry about having constantly cleaning the front element, especialy when I'm near the salt water. (often)
