more reach, AFS, and VR-II over the existing 80-400 VR

The ad stating compatible with TC's 1.4, 1.7, and 2.0 makes me wonder about this though. My understanding is you lose auto-focus past F5.6 or so.
  4. Mwhhahhaa, nice joke.
    VR III with 5.5 stops?
Arca style tripod foot from Nikon?
The homemade CAD model of a lens with a big front lens and getting tall just behind the front lens?
A zoom ring that zooms from 100 to 500 in only 45 degrees?

Another tip that it isn't real is it says it will AF with a TC-14. Official Nikon policy is no AF if the effective f-stop is greater than f/5.6. Too bad, it would be a sweet lens.
  6. Yes, the "home made" cad model is quite evident, as is the same distance about focal lenghts, but of course such lens would be really interesting, isn't it? The only "strange" thing is that 5.5 stops with the OB (=on board?) that looks a real tech derived stuff

But the best part is that it photographs around corners !!! The front lens element is not on the same plane as the rear mount appears to be on.
Manual focus ring is very small and way up front.
Verdict, 16 year old tech/art student job.
