Thom wouldn't like that lens--look at all that blurring

Great shots and a great story. Glad it was you and not me. Not that snakes bother me, but rather I tend to be snake-blind and not see them. Well, I'm still alive after 21 years in India and 4 in Texas

One thing that has impressed me with this lens is the sharpness and contrast SOOC. When I look at most of my RAW files, they need very little PP which can make life much easier. This was apparent this weekend when shooting a corporate holiday party. The room had some beautiful windows which I was able to use to my advantage, but the simple portraits are remarkable SOOC like this one with no PP.

Not my typical subject for this lens or focal length.

I just picked up this lens, and tested it out shooting basketball last night. I pushed things a bit, shooting for a while at 1.4 to see if the focus would hold up on my D5.
