Showcase Nikon 20-35mm f/2.8 AF-D

  1. It might be interesting to see some photos taken with the (discontinued) Nikkor 20-35mm/2.8 AF-D.

    http://www.bythom.com/2035lens.htm

This might be an interesting FX wide angle alternative to the (more expensive) 17-35/2.8 and 14-24/2.8 options.

    Any photos and/or opinions?

I've got thousands of images taken with the 20-35. Get it if you don't need those extra 3mm.

Lately I've been doing more and more work with my primes because of the weight but it's still used on jobs where primes are too slow (slow as in: no time to change lenses).

It's what I use for my wide angle on my D700.

  6. Thanks guys.

Francis, I always enjoy seeing your photos, and I didn't know that you used 20-35.

How would you comment its IQ in general, IQ wide open and the 20mm width on FX (as compared to, let's say, 17mm)?

    Hi guys.
This is one of the most used lens on my D700. I think it is a very good alternative to the other two expensive WA zoom.
