Had to go through to see which photos I didn't have a TC attached to my 300mm. How about this one taken from our vacation just a few days ago...

Put me in, Coach!

Thanks, Will. I always enjoy your work. The 300 is a challenge for me. But I like it, especially the way it makes the background melt away when you're close to the subect, and the background is relatively far away.

I really like the 300 f/4. I have mainly used it for aviation photography and dont need a faster lens. I rented the lens for two days only on last year Flying Legends at Duxford. I have booked the lens for this year event again since I dont own it my self, yet. I also rented the TC-14E converter and it worked quite well together. Needs a steady hand though.

Without TC-14E

Some of mine, some with Kenko 1.4TC, some without. Mixed lot, I've had the lens three + years, mostly for jets but I sometimes dust it off for other things :)

I'm considering changing to the 120-300mm Sigma, my friend has one (admittedly on a 7D) and it seems to be quite a bit better than the 300 f/4. Maybe it's the extra stop or the OS but we've shot side by side and I'm getting envious.
