My son, today, D600, 50 F/1.2, 1/350s, F/1.2 (wide open), @ 560 iso, -1 EV
The "miracle" here is he was still enough to take it wide open, usually he's always moving..

Two from tomorrow, the first at F/2.8, the second wide open - my neighbor Irene, an 83-ish old lady - Basically I've just smoothened a bit her skin but not that much.

Hi Dino. That's a beautiful shot of your son. I love the lighting and the accuracy of the colour's. It reminds me of just why I like this lens.
The shot of your neighbor Irene is also a very nice shot but for some unknown reason I cant see the second shot. Only half of the picture is loading.
Cheers.

Thank you, Mike, as you know I use mostly Zeiss lenses, yet I realized how particular is its rendition and very good for some subjects. I am mostly concerned about focusing accuracy, thankfully my son and Irene were still enough to achieve a reasonable sharpness despite the shallow dof.

Finally, I pulled this lens out again to use ... apparently, Ken Rockwell is spot on with regards to this lens performing brilliantly (in terms of resolution) when stopped to f/2.
