Nikon 50mm f/1.8 QUESTION???

Just received my 50mm lens in the mail Thursday and used it a bunch today. What do most of you use your 50mm for?? Portraits? Actions? All of the Above??

I use it when the light is good enough for f4 to f11. With lower light I use the 50/1.4.

Portraits and low light work. Its a great lens and very sharp even wide open.

Bryan, congratz on your new toy... First of, this is one of the best money can ever buy lens, take a good care of it.

I will agree with the previous posts on its use and just add the macro/close-up use with a Nikon 4T!!! It's just as good -if not better- as the 60mm micro... ;-)

Close-up attachment lenses no. 0,1 and 2 are recommended for use with lenses having a focal length of up to 55mm. Lenses no. 3T and 4T are two-element archromat lenses providing high image quality. The greater the diopter value of the attachment lenses, the closer the subject can be approached. The longer the focal length of the lens used, the greater the magnification which can be achieved.
