Nikon 55mm f/3.5 Micro AI

I just bought one for these to shoot close up shots of my soon-to-arrive baby boy! I know a lot of people here have good things to say about this little ol' lens. I'm really looking forward to playing with a little macro!

It is a great lens, especially for how little they cost. I have one as well, and love using it. The only downside, at least with the D90, is that there's no metering. So you have to guess exposure settings. Still, it's a pleasure to use. Add a PK-13 extension ring and you'll get all the way to 1:1.

I haven't had a chance to shoot any macro since getting my Nikon body last year...But these are a few from this lens when I still shot canon.
