Question

I currently own the Nikkor 105mm/2.8VR and as you know, this lens kinda hesitates in its AF even when shooting infinity.

Does the 60mm/2.8G Micro hesitate much in its AF? I'd like to hear from you. Thanks!

I have both, but I do not recall this behavior, but that could be me, but what I do experience is, that the 105 VR is best about the first 10-15 meters (IQ), where it shine, and the 60G is good all over, also at infinity, as Bjørn Rørslett also states (but I do know it does not answer your question)

I love my micro 4/3 gear, and enjoy using my tabletop kit (d700 + 60g ) to capture its beauty. The 60g gets my vote as the finest lens for fx product photography.

Some shots taken at the United States Botanic Garden in Washington, DC. Taken with the D610 and Nikon 60mm f/2.8 macro lens.

Though I generally use this for macro, esp. for super close-ups when my 200f4 is unwieldy, it is also very effective as a 'normal' lens.

What a lovely and yet so simple shot. I really like it David. I also have the 60mmG and find it to be a wonderful all round lens.
Cheers.
