Just a quick question. Do these two work well together?

  2. Hej Torben!

No! You can´t even fit them together as the tc has a small tab preventing that, and there´s no mechanical link for screw driven af of the lens. So, you would need an af-s version of 80-200 with Nikon tc or for example Kenko with 80-200 af-d

Next question. Will the new Kenko 1.4 TC work with this lens?

    You want these.

    Or these.

Specifically the Kenko Pro or the Tamron SP. They are the same units.

You do NOT want the non SP Tamron or the Kenko 1.5. Not exactly sure what the difference is, but I have not heard of anyone liking the others, but many like the Pro and SP. Iuse to be one of them (I had a Kenko Pro 1.4)
