20160607-026 by longzoom, on Flickr. My granddaughter Michelle, 14. At 150mm, f5.6, ISO3600, manual WB K 3350, -1 comp. Little crop. LZ
Very nice & beautiful granddaughter LZ--what's the shutter speed here--is the TC attached? I have a niece in ballet and know how hard it is to shoot in doors: she really builds up some speed in some of those moves. The shots above are all impressive too. jt

Thank you, M-16! Shutter was 1/180, wide open, ISO 3600, manual WB K 3350- settings for my Michelle. NY - 1/30, hand held, 400mm, wide open. No TC - it was once to show how tolerable this lens is! Thanks again! LZ

20160614-187-2 by longzoom, on Flickr. All of them are crops, even at 400mm - from 1/2 to 1/5 of the full frame. It is open public space, but you can't come close, for your own well! LZ

20160616-115 by longzoom, on Flickr. As I've already said, the Canon 500D close-up is giving me 1:1.5 magn., at 400mm/minimal distance. So, the image and 3 crops. Last crop from the other image, I was not able to keep the combo perfectly parallel, hand held. My wrist watch. LZ

20160615-082 by longzoom, on Flickr. This Gentleman is a person of Art, no questions... The Sun inside the frame, filter, short hood. No evidence of flare, of any kind, at all. At 80mm, f8.0. Crop. LZ

i really like the look of this lens. but why is it soo expensive?
This lens is among the very best lenses humans ever created. Extremely expensive glass of uneven geometry surfaces used. Nano coating, so no flares of any kind. Very light and small for such the parameters. Made in Japan. I've waited a long time to get it thru E-Bay of $700 less in brand new condition. It really cost every penny you spend on it. LZ
