20161006-2016-10-06 085 by longzoom, on Flickr. What should I say, as a comment - AF was lightning fast, spot-on, without even trace of hunting, under any set combinations and light. What was stable - AF-C setting, was absolutely up to its task. From 70 images 64 was spot-on. I want to show the technical sides, but, some images, maybe, should be considered a little bit higher. Thx for your attention! LZ

FYI, I tried the Nikon 1.4 on the 80-400 and the images were not usable.

Btw I just got my 80-400 back from Nikon and a $750 bill to remove sand. The lens seems to be like new

20161012-2016-10-12 002 by longzoom, on Flickr. This rusted piece of old fence was taken at different zoom/focus positions, Canon 500D screw-up was in use. Hand held, so no focus stacking was possible, but, on the other hand, It was able to concentrate on details I wanted. THX! LZ. The same lens, Z7 body. Upper image at 400mm, next one at 370mm. Both were taken wide open. Crops. Such the resolution is unreachable (With the same lens, of course!) on any mirror body. Not mine 810, nor 850. LZ
