Hi,

I have a Nikon D90 and a WD Passport Essentials external USB drive. I am going on a cruise at the end of June and, instead of taking my laptop and using it to transfer pictures, I would like to copy the files from my D90 directly to the USB drive. The USB drive needs a Micro USB adapter, but I was wondering if this would work before trying to find an adapter.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Craig

No it would not work. You need a computer to access the memory in the camera and tell it to send the files. The USB drive can't do that.

The easy solution is to buy plenty of memory cards and just take the camera. Memory is so cheap now.

Oh well... I guess its plan "B" -- purchase more memory cards

Thanks for the info!
