    or a drive by
  4. I interesting enough.....It's a 52 acre site they are building on......

I am not sure, but that is no where the amount of space Nikon has.

There was actually a rumor on DPR that Canon was going to do a hostile take-over of Nikon a few months ago........

I am not saying either company is better, as they both have their very strong points, but Canon could just wink and absorb Nikon.

Right now I think Nikon has been making more ground because of their size. They have been able to adapt to the market, where-as Canon is more like the Titanic headed for an ice-burg.

  5. Canon has been a neighbor of Nikon here in Hong Kong for a long long time.

  6. Hey Phil, That is a funny shot.

It's kinda like The Empire and Darth Vader living next to one another.

I hope not. I would have to start shooting a Sony then.
  8. The funny thing is it started out as Nikon buying Canon......LOL.

Now shooting a Sony is an interesting concept.

Basically if you shoot Nikon you shoot a Sony anyway. Same sensor?

Nikon does use Sony for it's DX sensors, though there are some proprietary differences with the Nikon version of those sensors. I was told that Sony is not the manufacturer for the Nikon FX sensors, but I do not know who is making them for Nikon.
  10. Phil, I like the way the Nikon sign is just a bit higher than Canon.
  11. if you can't beat em, join em ;)
