I met this very interesting ex-marine with 3 tours in Viet-Nam at a photoshop last night. At times, he was a more interested subject than the model:biggrin:.

I like this portrait Tri and it is a shame you did not use a reflector to bring some light into the dark side of the face.
If you are using Photoshop you can add light to the dark areas going to Adjustments>Shadows-Highlights and working with the shadow arrow to your taste. Just add some contrast when you are done.
I am assuming that you want to put some extra light on his face to reveal more details.

Tri, IMHO, this is a fantastic candid. It has the aspect of a low key portrait, and it works very well in B&W.

Don't adjust a single pixel.
