I'm assuming this is a very nice lens, that I will never own.

Pricey !!...and it would not fit the F-mount as the distance of lens to sensor would not clear the mirror......guess I`ll have to make do with the old 55 f1.2..

It's nice, but for that price I'd rather wait for the Nikon 50mm 1.2 S AF lens and whatever new Z camera will be coming out next!

I’m not surprised by the back order. I AM surprised they didn’t have more ready initially. I’m betting once the initial demand is met, there will be an extreme limit on how many of these are kept in inventory.

Canon's 50mm 1.2 R is around $2100 USD, so Nikon will price it either the same or a few hundred more.

I guess I won’t be getting that one. That’s more than the 105/1.4!
