Thanks for starting this thread, Lance.
Normally I have to read reviews before committing to purchase a completely new product. But, since every Nikkor Z lens released thus far has been widely praised, I took a leap of faith and pre-ordered a 14-24mm f/2.8S last fall. NPS surprised my retailer with one that had my name on it at the end of October. I'm happy to say that after 60 days of casual usage, I am quite pleased with this lens. Here are some samples.
1. A quick shot with a Haida 112mm polarizer.
2. All quiet at the ARTIC (short for "Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center")
3. The billboard paints the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento purple before dawn.
4. A Geminid meteor.
5. A pair of high rise condominium towers in Houston.
6. Sunstar example.
Some quick thoughts:

Some quick thoughts:
- The S is definitely more portable than the G. I have been carrying the 14-24mm f/2.8S and the Z-mount 24-70mm f/4 (kit lens) during my travels for the last two months. My scale confirms that the combined weight of those two lenses is only slightly more than the 14-24mm f/2.8G + FTZ.
- I was excited to try a threaded 112mm circular polarizer. It worked fine once installed, but I found the large filter to be clumsy to handle and therefore challenging to avoid cross-threading. Since two bayonet-style hoods are supplied with the lens (one with the 112mm threads, the other one slightly smaller and without threads), it's easier to simply leave the polarizer installed in the larger hood and swap hoods as needed. A cap is provided for the larger hood, which fits over it with the filter still attached. I have some thoughts about fashioning a third bayonet-style hood that accepts 100mm square filters, but haven't had the time to cobble anything together yet.
- The S definitely exhibits less coma than the G.
- The S does appear to be very sharp from edge to edge and corner to corner. In my limited usage thus far, I can't say that it is sharper than the G, but it is at least on par.
- (P.S., sorry about the dirty sensor)
