Who has the Smallrig grip? Do you like it? Where is the best place to purchase?
I have it. It definitely helps the handling, to a point. The grip isn't the deepest but it works. I think it may not be the best for someone with larger hands.
It seems well made and was inexpensive enough to take a gamble on it. I purchased mine directly from Smallrig. Took 7 days to get to my door from China.

At 74g the additional weight of the grip is almost negligible.
The grip makes using the ISO dial so much easier, at least with the stable of Z lenses I have. I've not had the opportunity to use it with a small/light lens like the new 28mm though. That may change the handling experience going sans grip.
For me the $55 price to my door was very well worth it.

Yep. I bought it for a D5500 but it works fine on the Zfc and the Z50. Would probably work on a Z6, too.

I think it's also a Smallrig product, but I find no brand or model number on it.
A versatile little bracket then :)
I see Smallrig also has a leather half-case for the Z fc. I always liked having a half-case on my Fuji x100 series cameras but don't find myself wanting one for the Nikon.

The SmallRig grip is now available from Amazon for $39.90 with free shipping. I ordered one.
I think you'll like it. Let me know how you make out.
One feature I really like on the grip is that I can attach my PD wrist strap on the bottom right corner of the grip. Keeps it completely out of the way of what the right hand needs to be doing.

Thanks. That's good to know.

Looks like you can use it to mount the camera in either landscape or portrait mode w/o an L-bracket.

The threads on the grip appear to be plastic, so yes, possible, but I would limit it to smaller lenses like the 16-50 or the 28mm prime in that orientation.
The bottom plate is all metal and can support more weight.

If portrait orientation is a must, then I'd recommend getting a proper l-bracket at that point.

I have an L-bracket as I mentioned above. I would probably use portrait orientation on a tripod only with the 16-50 or 50 MC micro, especially the latter.
