What a fantastic set of images. I particularly like number 4 - such a great capture and the colours are luscious! That 50mm f1.8 looks amazing. Definitely a set for the family album!

What’s impressed me most is how little PP is required, especially for family shots. I tend to use a Lightroom preset to bump the shadows a bit, reduce the highlights a bit and select the Natural camera profile and that’s it!

Interesting. Have you compared reducing contrast vs highlight / shadow adjustments? I waffle between them depending on the picture. I use Capture One Pro, so they behavior will be different, but I do find sometimes I prefer reduced contrast vs highlight / shadow recovery (and sometimes a little of both!).

I mucked about with a SOOC camera JPG in Lightroom. Love the latitude you get even from the JPG files from the Z6. I purposefully under exposed a stop and a half.

Lens = Nikon Z 35mm f1/.8 S

A shot I grabbed this morning with my Z6 and 14-30 to document/showcase the work my wife and I have done in the upstairs hallway of our house.

It used to be carpeted, with honey-colored Pine trim and flat hollow core interior and bi-fold doors. We replaced the flooring with 3/4” Oak hardwood, all new solid core doors, all new baseboards, and a new railing and balusters at the top of the steps as well. It’s been a lot of work, but it’s nice to see the fruits of your labor.

The image is probably over-sharpened for displaying here, since its intended destination was Facebook, which is notorious for turning sharp and detailed images in to watercolor paintings.

From this weekend. Various lenses. f-mount 85mm f/1.8, z-mount 35mm f/1.8S and 50mm f/1.8S
Used Eye Detect AF. Man did it make the job so much easier! Hit the mark every time, from what I can tell.

Today's visit to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.

The Z6 was equipped with the Tamron 70-200/2.8 G2 with FTZ.

This one of the Langur's needed a little help from Topaz Sharpen AI. The glass between me and the Langur was horrifically dirty, so the primates face was not quit as sharp as I would like. Ran it through teh "Focus" option.

These files were SOOC JOG with some slight tweaking in Lightroom (except one where noted).

Was shooting some headshots for friends of ours over the weekend, and used my wife as a stand-in to get the lighting dialed in while they were getting ready.

Z6 with a 70-200 VR II, AD200 camera right through a Glow Parapop 38”, reflector camera left to fill in the shadows a bit,and a V860 II to add just a touch of light the background.
