I can't compete with Harris and his too cute to curdle milk baby crane and all the other fantastic shots from our Florida brethren (and sistren???). So I'll stick to what I have:

Here's the male Mallard peeking and thinking, "I aint no Chinese dinner":

His missus just tries to look soft and feminine:

I call this "The I'm Ignoring Harris, But If He Gets Too Cute With That Baby Sandhill It's Dinner" look:

And he can be stealthy about sneaking up to:

All with the D100 and 80-400mm OS

Great shots Neil.... :D

You shoots what you gots.... :) Most of the time all I have are Canada Geese and Mallards, so that's what I normally shoot (no baby Sandhills up here in North AL either....;-)).

Hogwash Gale....

You better post some of those shots you got last week. I've already seen some good ones from you, so let's get it into gear.... :D

Thanks Frank and Gale.

Oh and Gale, I agree with Frank - hogwash, horsefeathers, hockey pucks. I've seen you're shots and always want to see more, both on here and in your pbase gallery. So no runnin' off pretending you're not good enough for here. EVERYONE is good enough for here!

Besides if posting here was some sort of contest or comparison then we'd all just be leaving it to Yves and the other pros. For me, I'll keep posting and hoping to learn from the masters as I do so.
