No wide lo-light lens, no worry, splice your 85mm shots

  1. Chorus recital for my 13 y/o.
    Sitting fairly close.
    No WA low light lens.
...plus a single shot with my 17-55 wouldn't capture enough detail to show each face well enough.

    Solution...
Splice the shots from my 85mm.1.4
Remember  use manual exposure and non-auto-WB so your shots match well.
That's my 13 y/o far right oposite the piano in upper shot.

Photoshop overlay, tweak with free transform/distort and then layer-mask-paint out the telltale seams such as down the middle of a face that changed between exposures.
Works great for landscape panos but I'd not thought until tonight to use it somewhere like this.
    Good night.

Link is to the larger shot on pbase. Original crop is quite large about 19 MPx.

Looks like your little experiment worked very well, good going! Looks seamless to me.
What, no 28 1.4 yet? You're slippin', Doc!
