My citronella plant agreed to pose once more for the Helios 44-2 stopped down to f/8 to see if it gets any sharper (not really) and confirm that it has an 8-bladed diaphragm (it does ;)).

I post-processed the image slightly, but this little lens really shines!

I find this lens also enjoyable in use. Really well build.
Is it an m42 version you're using?

I considered this lens as well but I finally decided on a zoom, 15-35. Mostly because I don't use such a wide angle all that much.
Where I live, I'm bound to find some unwanted objects in the picture @15mm :)

This may be a new lens but it does match the forum topic

I agree with it being a bit too wide sometimes. However, it is very sharp and I imagine that it could handle a bit of cropping when necessary.
