Update -

Dino, I just spoke with DezM, who lives in New York and who has photographed in Yankee Stadium. He said that a 70-200mm is the largest lens they will allow. He also stated that the stadium seriously frowns upon video recording and that if you are going to use your camera and lens that it must fit in a small carry pack as larger backpacks are not allowed.
Ok fine. Thanks !

Best to check the camera policy at each venue you wish to attend. I'm a season ticket holder here in Tampa. We are restricted to a maxium of 12 inches for a detachable lens. The security at our gates have rulers to measure lenses and will enforce the stadium policy. I've taken in my 70-200mm, f2.8 and 300mm, f4 lenses, but I have excellent seats. Depending on where you are seated, it may be best to just leave the longer lenses at home and enjoy the game.

Given their attendance levels, the Rays should really be more accommodating to any fans...especially season ticket holders. :)

IMPORTANT UPDATE
Given what's happening over here since the past few days ( we're now the 4th Country worldwide for confirmed Coronavirus cases , today 132 and counting, 3 deceased so far , unfortunately most not so far from where I live ) the visit to NY is delayed to an undefined date. If you don't know what's going on in Italy, check this article

Schools where I live are now closed til March 1st while waiting for a development of the situation. More than this *FLU* is the collective hysteria people are having, as if we were dealing with Ebola, Marburg or the like. Catch: we don't.
