NYC: Magic Hour

Discussion in 'Landscapes, Architecture, and Cityscapes' started by Dez Santana, Sep 10, 2008.

  1. I decided to meet w/other photographer friends for some shots during the "magic hour". Instead of shooting from the usual Queens or Brooklyn side, we met up in Manhattan.

Taken with the 12-24mm, 17-55mm and 18-200 VR lenses @ ISO 200. There was a lot of boat traffic, so I kept my exposure to a minimal. Tripod and Mirror Up used.

Nice shots Dez. I especially like the last 2, with the 'inferior' 18-200. When does the waterfall come down?

  7. LOL. That inferior 18-200 is a keeper  Thanks!

The waterfall comes down in October, I think.

    Love 'em...!

They're all brilliant, as usual, but #1, #3 and the last one, for me, is spot on.

Where'd you guys "set up shop" on the Manhattan side?

  9. Hi Dez,

Beautiful captures. I like 5th one the best.

    thanks,

I like the way the water looks in 3, 4 and 6. Very awesome images. Makes me want to visit New York.
