Guys, Aaron - a tickling temptation is just crossing my mind, yet I don't know if it's allowed - while film cameras are not expressly banned, my main concern would be against rule #7 if interpreted strictly. What about throwing in the competition a film camera, namely my F6 instead of the D600 ? My F6 is more a "fellow" than a "tool", there's more with it. I've just loaded a roll of Portra 160 where only two shots (on 36) have been taken. This would mean developing that roll at the end of October and post the results at the beginning of November. Do you think it might be feasible/interesting or should I remain with my D600 ? Let me know there's still 24 h to decide...

What is the objective for each photo? is it just a photo of any subject as long as it is done in October?

Jmho, but I think you'd miss out on the fun and feedback that comes from posting every day. And I'd miss seeing your POTDs. Getting 31 shots at the very end of the contest would be a big lump to digest and comment on. Why not use the dslr for daily submission, and post some of your best film shots in the bucket at the very end?

What is the objective for each photo? is it just a photo of any subject as long as it is done in October?

The only common trait is prime lens photography. Some choose a theme, some try to show the characteristics/versatility of their lenses, and others chronicle their daily life. It's entirely up to you. The only restrictions are using a specified set of gear, and posting a picture per day.

OK, Sven, I've updated the list. The 20/2,8 Ai-S is a nice lens!

I am confused by rule #6. It says "starts on Sept. 30 at midnight". Since midnight is often viewed as 12:00 a.m., some may view today as day one. But, I assumed that the intent was October 1 since this was titled Octoberfest. So, is day 1 defined as the 24 hour period beginning today or October 1?

Oh, I can wait... Just wanted to be sure you didn't mean the other midnight which is 00:00h, because I thought I saw some start already...

Please update my listing to be the 21mm f/3.5 because it's my newest lens, the 35mm f/2 because it's my favorite lens, and the 105mm f/2 because it's my "best" lens.
