This is the shape of the octopus as it was frozen and displayed in the grocery store.

Photo of the Seutp
The tabletop is glossy white acrylic. The white reflector at the rear was reflected in the top of the tabletop, which brightened that area. The white reflector on the right side lifted the shadow tones on that side of the scene. 25 focus-bracketed images at Nikon step size 3 were stacked in Helicon Focus at default settings.

Without the explanation it takes a minute to orient just what one is looking at.

Thanks, Dan! I like it when my fine art food photography requires an explanation or at least requires the viewer to examine the photo awhile to understand what the subject is. That's because I'm so often presenting food in a context in which it's rarely seen.

Apologies for my late response, as I was away on vacation for a few days.
