Very pretty Frits and the old glass works well! Here's one from my 50mm F1.2 AIS:

  3. Nice shots, both of you! I was just looking at both of these on eBay this morning. I'm assuming you're both happy with them?

    Hi Kevin,

I absolutely love mine! In fact, I have a 50mm F1.4 AF-D that I'm going to sell, because I never use it.

  5. Kevin, do a forum search for some of my recent postings and you'll see how I like it.
Here is a small galery with some of my recent test images: http://www.pbase.com/ripps22/50 .
Bottom line: get one!

  6. Well, I've spent the last few hours scouring eBay for one of these gems. Seems some can be had for a great price. I love the feel of these manual focus lenses! Thanks for the tips!!

    Jonathan,

I'm using a 1.2 Ai on my D200 with great results (so long as I remember to focus, that is. )

    Michael,

Thanks Very Much. There is a 1.2 on ebay right now, but I'm not sure what a good used price should be.

I go with Bjorn's advice -- these guys have sufficuently delicate optics that buying off ebay poses a bit more than usual risk, unless you have easy return rights.
