Justin, Glenn and I recently toured the Ohio State Reformatory. As one might expect, many of our images are very similar, so I will try to post images different than Glenn's.

Thanks! I have several other similar images. 5 stories of LONG rows of very narrow cells - on both sides of the building = a LOT of cells! LOL!

I enjoyed it a lot, but also found it very challenging - photographically and physically. You are constantly going up and down stairs. After 3.5 hours of this we drove to Columbus and visited the Statehouse that afternoon and again the next morning. MORE stairs. The next 2 days, my quads were expressing their displeasure! LOL!

No problem. The Reformatory offers 2 tours daily of about 1 to 1.5 hours for $20. I don't believe tripods are allowed on the public tours. We arranged for a private Photography pass which allowed us to enter 2 hours before the public and stay until closing. The Photography tour also included the public tour.

That's a very reasonable cost in my mind. I wouldn't hesitate to take advantage of it if I was in the area.

It's $150 for one photographer plus $25 for each additional person. There were 3 of us, so it was $200. If there were 15 people, the cost would be $35 per person. The more people, the less cost per person. And, that includes the day pass once the venue is open to the general public.

The place is so massive that we went long stretches of time without seeing each other!
