OK bug pros

  1. Can't find this in my limited book and sorry for bad rushed pic. Anyone know what this is? It's like 1 - 1 1/4 inches long at least. We did see one seemingly or perhaps purposefully take off for a butterfly. mostly they were interested in these white prairie flowers.

  2. Glenn, this is a spider wasp (family Pompilidae), most likely genus Anoplius.
