1st my apology for the roughness of the shots. :frown:
It's been gray and dark all day and I wasn't going to go shoot at all, but I just love the view thru the Machine Gun. So when I saw this action it was getting late .... threw on the flash & BB, bumped the ISO ! Most of the shots went straight to the trash, but worked these two out.

Here's the reason why I had to post em

This GBH wasted no time with his dinner, just a couple of dunks, no flip and down he went

Now I was quite impressed with me and the GBH but these guys didn't seem to think much of it
  2. Wow I love the shot, we need many more GBH's to get rid of these pests!

Amazing shots Ben. Is that a rat that the GBH is eating? I think you did a great job with the flash too.

    Good grief,
    GBH's WILL eat ANYTHING !!!!!!!

Even swallow a turtle whole, yes shell and all. No manners these guys.

    Great catch Jim.

Good shots. Love the unattentive Mallards :>))
  5. great job on theses captures Ben. The Lighting is well done and I do not see any problems with the ISO bump.
  6. A special kudo goes to the GBH for it's choice of a meal. This is a nice image but not sure it's commercial value would be too high.
  7. What WON'T these guys eat!

    Great captures!

I guess they really will eat almost anything

I was glad I listen to the Machine Gun to take her out for a walk

Still feel rough with the flash, but I think it's growing on me !!

    HI Ben
Nice catch, both of you, and yes, great to see them gobble down some of the ratpack. This is a general food item on their menu, have seen it before on pics, never in real life.
The "waves" on the first pic is the late light and the reflection off the water, it is nothing you did wrong, does not distract from the pic either, just very nice to listen to the MG and foloow its snout down to this great catch.
  11. I have seen these guys eat a lot of things but never a rat. Nicely done.

    Appreciate that Dave
was concerned they were not up to Cafe usual high standards
  14. So this is the "rat shot" Gale & Harry were talking about! Really cool shots, Ben, even if the subject matter is gross! ;)
