  1. This is my second challenge. I've got a new lens, so this should be another excellent learning experience.

I'll be using the Nikkor 300mm F/2.8 AF-S DII and 50mm F/1.8 for this challenge.
  2. Excellent! another challenger has entered the playing field! Should be interesting to watch this topic as I'll be shooting almost the same two lens (300 F4 and 50 F1.8)
  3. Phil, I'm waiting for the 300/2.8 pics! I hope you'll post often

Very sorry folks, I've been quite busy with family and friends lately.

Here are some images over the last 15 days.

Lots of football and pics of my son.

The Fall colors here in New England have been spectacular this year.

No, I did not find these this way, they're arranged.

Morgan likes to climb on everything now, it's getting down that's the problem...

  8. Morgan is a wonderful shot. Your portraits of him are very nice. Your leaf shot is very good, red on yellow. Frame is a bit heavy weight.

I really like the football shots. 300 2.8 is awesome. Shot with the coach is precious. Very nice shooting.
  9. They are all very nice.

All very well done. My favorite is the one of the coach looking over his team.
the first shots of your son appear to have a white balance issue, coming across with a blue tint/hue on my screen.
  11. I LOVE the first shots of your son and the red leaf!
    Great shots!
  12. Thanks everyone!

Now that you mention it Tim, I do see some blue.

Great shots so far, especially of your son. I also love the leaves though I agree with Birgit it needs a lighter framing.

Hey, Phil -- I've been watching for this thread to wake up

You sure can't go wrong with shots of Morgan, either...

    Best Regards,
  15. Morgan is a fabulous little boy....your use of the 300 2.8 is excellent. I agree that the coach shot is the one that really rises. Good work.
  16. Thanks Lisa, I'll probably get rid of the matte.

    I've been slacking...I know

    Thanks Harry!
  17. Wonderful shots Phil- I hope that you can show us more. My favourite so far is of the football coach.
  18. Thanks David, I'm working on it, just a busy month.
  19. Agree with the Coach shot although the set from that day is very strong.
