nature's insect control although this deadly lady can stay outside and ply her trade. given the amount of water currently in the river system and the mozzies that come with it i'll keep this mozzie killer around for a while longer

the red colour in the river was not an accident, i had tried to get the shot to work like this. the camera is on a walkway across the river that is also part of a loch, the red light here is care of a a pair of navigation lights, just though it would add something different to the image
Interesting shot Les. Sorry I missed many days, as I wasn't getting notifications of updates. Will catch up now...

sorry i missed day 13, another day i have no idea where it went, today is a bit the same, just a quick image just to put something up
I hear ya... thought getting shots in every day for me too. I try to have a few backup subject ideas, just in case, but that doesn't always work out either.

Pretty unusual image Les. Not knowing ho much the tube modifies the focal length, I can't imagine what this is. Was thinking ice with frozen bubbles, but it seems to dark.

I'm struggling too, trying to find something with limited time being at a conference all day long (and having it foggy/rainy the past few days). Grabbed one last night around 10pm at a restaurant I dined at. This is certainly a challenge. I may have to start thinking of taking shots of things in my hotel room. :) Only 3 more days, though.

25 - cool shot of something I loathe. :D

26 - interesting - and I agree with Paul, it looks like the bubbles could be frozen in ice.

(And I wouldn't sweat the creativity, I think you are doing better than I am at this point. Mine has never been great, and been in the tank for several months now. My shots are getting repetitive. :bag:)

Paul you are close, water into the sink, the the flash stopped the movement the tubes an the 105 work well, however as you add more tubes the DOF gets thin and the exposure gets darker and darker. getting interesting on a DX camera with a not so bright view finder

thanks Gordon, speedlights do interesting things to image they stop movement if they fire fast enough

Nice work on the spider Les- they are very different in this part of the world!

Strange as it may seem, the water shot appeals to me! :D Good to see that you are happy to try something new... and we all borrow ideas from one another. Well done!
