Old Castle Facing The River

Discussion in 'Wanderlust and Travel' started by Rui Lopes, Aug 1, 2007.

  1. A very old castle (1112) built in the top of a small island in the middle of the river (Tejo), also a symbol of the european military fortresses of that era:

Nice shot. Agree with Gale. I think adding more water also gives a feeling of what this castle was being used to protect from/or else maybe leads the imagination to a wonderful scenery.

  6. Thank you for the kind words.
Gale, I must admit that you are right. Some more "river" would had improved the image...

  8. very nice Rui, where exactly is this? not sure where the Tejo River is...

  9. Thank you Chris.
The Tejo is a river shared by two countries - Spain and Portugal.
It runs from Spain through our country reaching the Atlantic ocean at Lisbon.
    Best Regards
