I enjoyed my visit at the Old Idaho State Penitentiary in Boise, Idaho. I was allowed to shoot with my tripod and I practically had the entire complex to myself for a few hours.

WOW, amazing shots! I've never been to a place like that - but bet it's just over-flowing with photo ops! #1 looks like there must have been some really bad boys in those cells - makes me shudder to think about it! Really nice series!

Great shots. I can look into those old linear style jail buildings and hear the noises of the past. Great series. I love 5, 7, 8. Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful work, Glenn. The interior reminds me of the Wyoming Frontier Prison in Rawlins. Great that they let you shoot with a tripod and all by yourself, from my experience that's rather unusual.

Thanks Ron...there are many interesting stories, I'm sure.

Great images, Glenn. Love the detail in your shots. Your opening line threw me 'i enjoyed my first visit to the pen...." Ha!
Thank you, John...I can see where that first sentence would throw people!

Great set Glenn! I like the whole series, but I think the BW are the best!
Thank you Rob...the place seems almost made for B&W.

Thanks again Klaus-Peter...I visited the Frontier Prison last summer. The Idaho Prison is maintained better, but they are both interesting places to visit.
