Thanks, Binnur! Using textures to dress up earlier photos is certainly lots of fun, and they're even more fun when the image is designed from the outset to include them.

I have now completed the project of adding a texture to photos made previously. I added them only to tabletop photos and only to less than 2% of them because the others seemed better left as is. Thanks to everyone for looking and commenting!

IMO the last image looked more elegant without the texture Mike. I can remember the old one because it was so beautiful. Also , IMO the swirls distract from the traces of the lipstick which is an important part of your design.

Thanks for mentioning that, Binnur. I wouldn't be surprised to learn in the future that my thinking about that would vary depending only on the mood I'm in.

After making the photo of the aerator flying through outer space, I changed my mind about the project in this thread being complete and decided to deal with hopefully one last image. This image was originally made in December 2019. The texture is the background depicting outer space.

And is this meant to be a spaceship Mike ? If so I would clone the hole at the back , because it gives a hint that the subject might be a cake mold or somethinglike that. I like it as an abstract.
