Spring is a wonderful time for photography. I rode my bike to the lake to take pictures of the wildlife. The Snowy Egret is among my favorites... a beautiful, athletic bird. Though I used 300mm lens from afar, this specimen was startled by the click of my camera, but soon resumed hunting for lunch. The squirrel still had his winter coat... and a pair of Canada Geese appeared to be on their honeymoon. The flowers on this tribute caught my eye. I researched the inscription, and learned that Nicole Carol Miller was a 21 year old student at West Valley College in San Jose who was a passenger on the ill fated United Airlines Flight 93 on 9/11/2001. God rest her soul. A few minutes later, I saw nature's cycle beginning anew.
