  1. Was at the Grower's Market with the D3 and a new to me 70-200 VR on a test run.
Grabbed this shot of one of the vendors, obviously on in years yet was taken
by the life left in her eyes. Straight out of camera for your viewing pleasure.
    ...or maybe not. Thx!

    Hi Will,
Nice shot and colors, you should make her a copy and give it to her,
I bet she would be thrilled......

still waiting on your decision (ha-ha)
  3. Thanks, Phil. I'll do just that, as they typically have the same spot each weekend.
She'll be thrilled OR call security.
  4. Thanks, Charlie. Pretty nice lens.
  5. I love that photo and I'm sure she will also
  6. Yes, I agree it is. I have read many comments suggesting this lens is not making it on the FX bodies, but I am very pleased with my set. It has slight vignette at 2.8, but is gone by 3.2 - while sharpness is wonderful.
  7. Thanks much, Arnie.
  8. Yeah, I haven't pushed the VR limits yet but I'm sure it'll be adequate.
How you liking that D700 so far?

that is a beautiful candid, the colors are fantastic!
  10. Thanks, Lisa! I've been real happy with Nikon's colors on the better glass
straight out of camera. Makes us look good.
  11. I am very pleased. I had a bad experience with a D3 (monitor had dead section), and snagged the D700 and passed on another D3. All is very good, I am 100% satisfied. Thanks for asking.

    She looks fierce, nice shot
  13. Thanks, Joe. Yeah, she looks tough enough. Has that turn down lip/frown
thing going on when she's not smiling. Looks peeved all the time.
She actually appeared very friendly when talking with customers,
it was the listening that got scary. I'll try for a smile shot next week
or so, candid...if people look at me the lens goes down and I wait for another op.
  14. Beautiful candid of her. Your title is very fitting.
  15. Appreciate that, Sonya.
It was my shot of the day with the new lens, for sure.
