On The Beach

    To me, kids are better subjects sometimes when they don't know they're being photographed. My daughter was caught up in looking at the velcro wrist strap for the boogie board than anything else. I was at 300mm with my 70-300mm zoom. Lighting was tough because it was around 10:00am. It was hazy and the sun was above her. I actually had to adjust the curves afterward because she was too dark. It looks like I did ok to get her showing better without washing out the background.

    I like the sparkle on the water behind her. And fully agree that "unposed" photos are usually the most real - nice shot. She is a little dark on my screen but this one is uncalibrated plus I like the overall effect

    I like it but your subject seems a little soft. The backgound is perfect.
     
  4. For beach shots, believe it or not, I find a flash very useful.
