  1. For those of you that saw my post on the Racoon while sitting in my patio in the back yard a couple days ago I was able to get another surprise the following day. Again just relaxing as the sun was going down I heard the flaping of wings and to my surprise this is what I was able to see happen right in front of me about 30 feet away. Not sure what the raptor is, can someone let me know.

    Great catch

I got such a pretty pic of a dove today

I always feel I will have a good day if I see a dove in the morning
  5. Thanks Jimmy, I think your right.
Thank you Gary, It sure is different.
I love to see the doves. I have many land in my backyard to eat the bird feed it put out.
  6. Incredible shots! But that's not a kestril - it's a hawk - a cooper's hawk to be exact. Great series!
  7. Hi Dianne, Thank you, and thanks for your help. I tried to Goolge Raptors and it was sure confuseing when I saw so many that looked very similar.
  8. If I may make a suggestion - how about getting yourself a good bird book if you're gonna be serious about shooting birds? These photos were incredible! I personally like the Kaufman Field Guide to Birds of North America. There's tons of books out there!
  9. Hi again Dianne, I have a few Bird books and a few Hawks look alike so It was difficult for me to really know which hawk it was that I able to photograph. It happend so fast. But you are right about bird books.
