One more great egret

Just a shot taken near our winter quarters earlier this year. Still culling down files and processed this one. The location where I shot this was one of the favorite roosting areas during winter of 2018. This past winter we only saw birds there half a dozen times over three months. Go figure.

This was a cooperative bird. It sat in that tree preening for 15 minutes or so.

Like preening images.

Preening shots are hit or miss for me. I think keeping the eye in there makes a big difference.
