Wooo hooo! The CIFO (Chief Indoors Financial Officer) gave approval for me to purchase a new monitor. About a minute later I'd completed the process for buying a nice new LaCie 19" photo19vision LCD monitor. (Can't give her time to change her mind)

I'm stoked. Can't wait for it to arrive.

Now to move onto nagging her for the next item. BWAAAHHHAAAHHHHHAAAAAAA!!.

We are all mad you know.

  5. Congratulations, you will like the LaCie as they make very good monitors. I too have one only mine is the 22" CRT.

There were some rated better in this PCWorld comparison, but I've read so many good things about LaCie monitors that I don't really think I can go wrong with it.

I was tempted to go with a CRT, but two things persuaded me to go with an LCD. Firstly, the weight of the thing is likely to crush my makeshift desk. Secondly, I think LCDs should be now ready for primetime with imaging - I hope.

Gale, I'll let you know how well it calibrates "by eye". I still need to get a calibration device of sometime. It's very high on the wishlist. :)
