  1. D200 + 85mm F1.8 with a Kenko 1.4X converter. Image captured in jpg. I'm trying to wean myself from NEF's.

3 YO Jack that loves to play soccer.

    John,

Handsome boy you got there, and good pic. Why are you getting away from NEF's?

  5. Hi Frank

Thanks for the compliment. He's a 3 YO Jack. A magnificent looking dougie and super fast.

As far as jpgs go: I'm trying to simplify my image workflow. However, I'm pretty sure I don't have the technical ability to 'go jpg' at this time. I.e. NEF's give me a lot of wiggle-room for capture mistakes.

Oh, for the most part my D70 was a pretty miserable jpg machine. I think the D200 appears to be able to capture a fairly decent jpg. One very nice thing about the D200 is that it can capture jpg-fine and NEF's simultaneously. Other than the huge memory sink issue, that might be the way to go.

    Regards

Parson Jack Russell, same as my 'beast' but my little girl is 'broken coated'. Full of character, but hates my camera big time.
